I am starting to resto the leather in my 1987 Excel,do you have any website info where to get hold of the woolies leather kit please.

You can still get cellulose based dye if you want to use that (up to '92 used that type of leather if I recall correctly what Nick said), I got mine from Furnitureclinic, but you have to specially ask for it to be made in solvent based type.

My '86 Excel has a beige leather interior, where there different types of beige interior available when new?
Has anyone restored a beige one, and does any one have a dye colour reference for that?

There were a few variations and even a white one my interior has been described as biege amongst other colours - sand, champagne, tan!

I used the woolies kit and achieved the following results

Mine is darker beige with dark brown carpets.
does the woolies kit filles in smalls cracks?

sort of - you use the cleaning kit first and it takes the dirt out of all the cracks and then the colour dye and finally the fixing agent

If you are still looking I would recommend the Woolies kit. If you give them a sample of fresh leather they will match it to the original colour so it should look like new. :D
I did this on my Elite by using a piece from under the rear head rest. Firstly because it was from a hidden area and therefore, secondly, it was pretty close to original colour.

Looks great, you just need time and patience. It also helps if your leather is very supple.
