Yeah, should have made that clear. When the key is in the off position (ie when you press the black key release button and then turn the key the final turn to remove)

Thanks everyone for your help, turns out it was two seperate issues.
Knackered relay for the full beam and the indicator stalk is playing up.
Going to get the stalk of today and see if it's repairable

That may turn out to be a nightmare, it looks like someone has previously tried to take off the steering boss and taken chunks out of the bottom of it!

After replacing the dashboard it appears that my indicators have stopped working and also my full beam. Hazards work okay and other lights/pop up work, so not sure if it is relay or column stalk or something else? Checked all around for loose wires but all seem good.
