I've only had positive comments so far.

My favourite response to it is when I'm closing in on people in their rear view mirror. I've never owned a road car that can part traffic on a motorway or dual carriageway like my red Excel. Excellent

Having the cam timing off by one tooth isn't enough to put the valves at risk. It's certainly not good, and it's clearly a sign that something else is wrong, like inadequate tension. Don't get paranoid about the valves at one tooth off, but don't start the engine again until the matter is resolved....

nice to see it out and about. How good is your heater? mines rubbish! It was brilliant with the 84 degree stat but its pants now I've fitted the 74 degree stat and fan switch. I just cable tied a bit of Twintex on the mesh over the plenum to restrict the volume of cold air being drawn into the heat...
