Taking one of the track rods off the rack makes life a whole lot easier, unscrewing was not as tight as I expected either.
I did have the rad and cooler off at the time , which also makes life easier.

Re: Seat base rubber diaphragm
There are lots of rubber ones on ebay, but this one is very similar and they may know who makes it or even do a special order.

My car came with one of those momo knobs, freezing cold and heavy.
To fit, unscrew the collar at the base of the knob and this will expose 3 pointed grub screws, adjust as necessary.

Hi Rich,
I was at the auction and watched it go, I thought the bidding was quite strong. I didn`t see the winning bidder tho. Happy spannering.
What do you call the northwest, there are some out there.

Your headlamp support rings are easy to remove as they are only pop riveted.
See what they are like once you have derusted them as SJ`s are £30 a pop, or make some nice stainless ones.

Re: Excel my 89 suspension changes
Here are two rear hoops, the front one is off my 91 car and the other is mid eighties i believe . Both are the adjustable type. The front hoop is 230g lighter, which is mainly is down to corrosion loss. My top link is 250mm c to c, which looks like the longer one in the pic. https://am3pap006files.s...

Re: New member - new owner
Hi, having seen the pics of your car and the rust, its just how mine was , including the holed exhaust. Having been there I recommend you pull the whole of the rear suspension apart, its well worth the effort, including taking the diff out and the prop. Not what you want to hear, but there is a good...

I got a friend who has a mot station to run the plate, but as its been more than 18 months since the last test it would not give up any info.
I can only suggest dvla form v888 or a letter to the keeper asking if they will contact you, and see if the police or dvla will forward it on for you.

How about a ratchet strap around the post and then hang them off it, that green flexi wire that gardeners use is one idea.

Tyre filler is a mix of latex and lpg, took the tyre home when off the rim and gave it a good scrub, then back to be repaired.

Re: Ctek charger
My battery gave out a couple of months ago and I decided to go for lithium and a charger. I read that the alternator can overheat because of the way lithium takes its charge and then i found an article that recommended some form of resistor or a long cable run to the battery. Have felt the alternato...
