Re: Channel Island Elite For Sale.

It does look nice in the photos. I guess the remark about a Renault engine refers to Europas but I don't know.

Re: Rear Fog lights / Horn not working

I think modern automatic transmissions are designed to work with electronic engine management systems, using ignition retard and drive-by-wire throttle to smooth the changes. With a carburetted Lotus, one would have to do some electronic work arounds to avoid it going into fault mode because it's no...

Re: Cooling issues on 92 SE

Because Evan's coolant more faithfully tracks oil temperature without boiling/losing contact with the liner surfaces at high temperature (100C tends to be scary in a water system but not in a Evan's system) , That's why the system is pressurised. It raises the boiling temperature. At 1.5bar it's ov...

Re: Excel Web page

It’s great that you’ve done this, Doug. They are a bit above my budget right now but, hopefully, there will be those who will take this chance to get the right size tyres on their cars.

Replacing front brake discs

I have started to get a vibration under braking so I checked the run-out and thickness of the offside, front disc. It had a run-out of 0.2mm and was less than 0.73" thick, both figures being outside the limits so I need new discs which raises a couple of questions. 1. I removed what I thought was th...
