Speedo change? Other than that it’s just a matter of looking at old MOT’s, history, receipts for parts, ie tyres etc which will give a clue as to usage and contacting previous owners and the like.

I would go with either furniture grade birch faced ply ( tends to have more laminated layers for strength and would help it keep flat) or a marine grade wbp ply, either way I would also varnish them. I’ve found a guy in Holland selling genuine TRD gear knobs at £30 each, they are black leather with red stitching and as they fit Supra’s I assume they will fit an Excel. There are a couple of problems, they have an aluminum bezel at the base in silver, this could be anodised or painted black. The T...
