Thanks for all the responses ,all be it that some were a bit tongue in cheek!
The Esprit is being looked at re miles per gallon as I type, and the Excels fuel consumption is about right then.
As far as photos i am now trying to put one of them up as my avatar with some help from my techie son.

Lotus addiction update Having purchased the Excel in June (AND LOVING IT) I am now proud owner of an ECLAT for restoration, & an Esprit x180 which i have just had resprayed and ceramic coated ,it looks like new! Thankyou!. Might even have one of those in a shed somewhere .My late father had a 405.(or was it a 504 hmmm ) he never threw anything away ... just in case. I will investigate .Since buying the Excel last month I have replaced the battery ,fixed the door latch passenger side ,replaced the TOYO tyres...
