Thanks for the replies everyone. I’m keen to got the wheels looking as originally produced, it’s a shame I can’t see clearly on the pic of the unrestored car whether the outer edge is machined/lacquered or paint.

Hi Peter, The Elise I had was a ‘98 S1, the steering feel was fantastic, and the feeling of grip was amazing- I think that they are criticised for being snappy once the rear grip is overcome, but on the road that limit is high!
