Re: Camshafts

No, my Eclat 2.2 engine had 107 inlet and exhaust cams, I can't remember but I think that is standard for the 2.2 LC engine.

Re: Front suspension lower balljoint security

Hi, if you want some extra security you could apply some threadloc to the thread so you are not just relying on the nylon insert

Re: Crank position sensor

Hi the sensor that I use that was recommended to me years ago by Mike at Lotus bits is one of these. https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-ERR3006P?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIlKWivJyO3QIVh7TtCh3VwA2mEAQYBCABEgIAw_D_BwE This was fitted into a mount that I made along with the toothed wheel that I attached to the rear...

Re: Window frame fitting. I'm giving up.....

Hi John, have you compared it to the frame that you took out, although rusty I presume that the shape was correct and that it sort of basically lined up. Has the new frame got the same amount of curl as the original?

I think you mean 907 Pete or 912 if you get the 2.2.
Good luck with what ever you get

You could have a word with pristine wheels of Woburn, they refurbished a set of s1 Éclat wheels for me to an as new standard. They were diamond turned with the centres painted.

Not sure if this is something Baileymorris.co.uk could help you with. Have a look at them and possibly give them a call.
Hope this helps Dan

Re: Flywheel & Starter Motor

Hi, the Lucas one I have is a spare but does look old and ratty. The one I replaced it with is a racemettle rac415 unit, also under the same code on powerlite-units website.
Where abouts are you? If local you could borrow the spare to try it out.

Re: Flywheel & Starter Motor

Hi I've just counted the teeth on the pinion on the original Lucas starter motor that came of of a Éclat 2.2 and it has 9 teeth. I used this starter to turn over a 912 hc engine that was out of a car also.
Hope this helps

Re: Sunday 12th Feb Lotus Breakfast Meeting (Herts/Beds/Buck

Hi Chris, I was thinking of coming along, cannot bring the Éclat as it's not road legal but I could do with a Lotus fix. What time are people aiming to get there for?
