Monaco white more than one shade?
Hi all, I have a 1989 Excel SE it’s Monaco White with the paint code stamped into the vin plate as A21. I had this car painted 20 years ago and it’s time to paint the front again, microblistering is getting bad. I ordered a litre of Monaco White cellulose and painted a test piece, the front bumper. ...

Re: Headlining fitters
Agree- do it yourself, shop round for good substantial fabric. This is the second time I have done mine and the ‘Lotus’ headlining used 13 years ago had completely disintegrated and gone from grey to pink !! I sought out some grey 3mm foam and scrim backed ‘Alcantara’ style fabric and it looks great...

Re: Window Motor Wiring or relay fault
Thanks to you two guys for your helpful comments. We can now see that there is no power to the drivers side window at the switch Y/G Only problem I have is how to identify the fuses. There is no 'helpful' location diagram on the box of fuses under the scuttle to the right of the steering wheel. Has ...

Re: Window Motor Wiring or relay fault
Thanks for the very prompt and helpful reply. Your understanding of the problem is perfect. BTW. It was never intermittent, it just stopped suddenly suggesting a component failure, Hopefully not in the wiring loom. I will check your suggestions out and reply to you. Its the tracing which I am a bit ...

Re: NEW OWNER
Great Pic's, your engine bay looks great with the hoses and the air filters. I would be interested to know where the filters and hoses are available from? How noisy is the induction or rather what does is sound like?
Well done

new Stainless exhaust problem
A year or so ago I had a bespoke SS exhaust made and fitted to my 89SE. Unfortunately they screwed the job up, doesnt matter who, because they have offered to remake and fit a new exhaust which is good. The problem I have is this: The current exhaust sounds horrible and looks horrible. It has been r...

Re: ALLOY WHEELS
Does anyone know of a standard wheel to replace the OZ 15" Not looking for pretty, just the option of getting 2nd hand wheels to shod with Toyo R888 215.15s for the odd track session. Writing this has made me think of the old Supra wheels? do they have the correct offset etc.,
Thanks

Heater Blower not worki ng
The blower motor in my non air/con 89 SE has stopped working. Replacing fuse and switching on the fan just blows the fuse. Question is? What is the easiest way to get the blower motor out to service or replace if knackered? Also, if the latter, what alternative source is there for the motor assembly...

SS Exhast
I'm sad to hear so much trouble with so called bespoke S'Steel exhaust companies. I had dealings with Double S about three years ago and they sent three wrongly angled downpipes out to me. In fairness they were helpful in re-doing the work without complaint. It was however still wrong after the thir...
