Fuel Line
Has anyone got experience of replacing the fuel line that runs underneath the car? I am after the internal diameter so I can get replacement pipe. I understand that the engine and gearbox need to come out in order to get proper access to it. May consider putting in copper pipe work with flexible pip...

Re: C Reg GCHQ Cheltenham
I reckon that would have been me. Good job you didn't get close and see what condition the car is really in! It's my only car and to be fair it's been as reliable as anything I've had in the past.

Re: Exhaust centre box
I fitted a straight through centre pipe from SJS a couple of years back and to be honest have not thought it to be to loud. The system is all stainless steel and I've been told that this can alter the noise levels as well. At the end of the day it's down to personal preference.

Re: NEC Classic show : November this year
Angus,
I say, go for it.
My car is no good for displaying but I'm happy to commit to helping set the stand/display and being on the stand for at least one day.
I've helped with other displays (different marque) at the show so it would be good to do something for our own cars.

I had a system from SJ a couple of years ago - stainless steel from the downpipe back. Have had to replace it recently since it turns out that although the pipes are stainless, the end pieces (flanges and collars) are mild steel and rot/rust like any standard set up. Just be aware of what your getti...

I'm just down the road from you if you would like to have at look at my (less than perfect!) car. Mine is a "C" reg SE. The interior trim sounds right, not sure about the gold wheels. My wheels have been sprayed BRG to match the body colour. This was a factory option, cost the first owner £100 accor...

Have to say, with hindsight, I would cough up the extra and go for a custom build. I got an almost complete system from SJS and with respect to them, it wasn't close to fitting. The hangers on all the sections were so far out I couldn't fit it. I appreciate that it's difficult on cars like ours to g...

Thanks for the offer, I need to check a couple of local places first but if I don't have any joy I'll get back to you. Incidentally what's the 'crack' with ordering parts still available after the parts sale? Do we still use the original order form/fax number or go direct to aftersales? I know peopl...

Fasteners
Why is it that when trying to do a small job on the car it suddenly turns into a much bigger job?! Latest example. I took the cambelt guard off the car to give it a clean and to check around the front of the engine and now I can't get the damn thing back on again! The fasteners won't tighten up. It ...
