First one done. Much better than the start point. For those having ago yourself try not to over spray too much at the ends, and not to under spray the edges.

Tyre age for post 2000 build can be seen by a 4 digit code on the tyre wall -1206 for example. This is 12th week, year 2006. Older tyres have 3 digits - you may wish to change them :)

Generally the car is tidy all round, but look closer and things worm their way out. Suspension looks very tired and corroded so new springs and coils needed. Bushes as well i guess. Brakes very weak. Mike at Lotusbits got me to do a 'warm up' test and found the right sides in effective and siezed so...

Just ordered my paint of ebay as it was cheaper than frosts as they add 6.95 for postage. False economy as I bought 2 cans for some reason :roll:

Curve ball from the right. Age of the tyre is one factor which determines their serviceability. Most people are using thread depth as their marker for a good tyre. However, low annual usage extends the life of the tyre based on thread depth. But this can be a killer - example in the recent bus crash...

WELCOME oops caps lock. You are nearly as green as me and I bet your smile is just as wide. I am 14 days into my ownership. There is a map link showing locations of many owners but I cant remember where I saw it. Were you at Goodwood today ?

Has anyone ever found a 90 degree elbow to fit the gap and come direct off the compressor to allow conversion to r134a connections?
