Removed the lower UJ off the steering column as I thought there was some lash. It was absolutely shot! Have a post 86 replacement of a beefier design so may have had an earlier version (incorrect one) installed. Engine and gearbox out for refurb and upgrade. Turning into a may as well do this and that.

Ok so my SA is like this:

1, Red positive cable
2, Black negative cable
3, Main engine bay wiring loom that connects to everything in the engine bay

4, loom to gearbox. This includes the SA auto park lock but may be just your reverse switch

Just going to look in my empty engine bay.
