Re: VDO oil pressure sender.

You may have been duped (unintentionally) by Merlin. :( Happened to me a few years ago - I bought a 0 -7 bar sender off eBay which was described as VDO compatible. Well it turned out NOT compatible with the 7 bar VDO gauge fitted to the Excel! The so-called VDO compatible sender earthing profile off...

Re: New owner

Yeah go get it. Just make sure they fill it up for you - might save you getting CoVID from the petrol stations up here!

Good colour on a late model.

Reminds me of Angus' car - only it looks in better nick! Sorry Angus.

Re: Peter James Insurance price hike

Oh and another thought! She tried really hard to encourage me to upgrade the standard 3rd party cover enabling me to drive anybody's car, to fully comprehensive to a max value of £20,000, for an extra £25 on the premium. I declined. But it does raise the question why there isn't a universal insuranc...

Re: Peter James Insurance price hike

I’m watching this with interest as I have both my Lotus with Peter James on one policy which was renewed in August. At that time they were the cheapest and my policy has unlimited mileage via Club Lotus membership. Maybe because my 3 vehicles are able to be categorised within different specialist c...

Re: Peter James Insurance price hike

But her pensions are just coming in so I need her like I've never done before! Oh yes another weird one ... Adrian Flux's asked how much mileage I wanted on EACH car (separate ...

Re: Peter James Insurance price hike

Why 3 lots of breakdown cover? RAC is any car! That's what I thought! With PJ and FJ it's one cover for all three. Moreover, when I was with the RAC many moons ago it was breakdown cover for the person(me) in any car (not including mental breakdown). During the telephone 'consultation' (it felt lik...

Re: Peter James Insurance price hike

 Interesting thought - could save me a further £42! :D Camper £244; (£75 of which is breakdown cover) Lotus £152; (£42 of which is break down cover) Clan £118; (£42 of which is breakdown cover) If I got a car trailer then no need for breakdown cover on the Clan as it is only currently used for...

:?: Do they also fit into other Lotus?

Might alternatively explain the bidding war if the winner is a 70's Esprit owner, say?

Re: Peter James Insurance price hike

Decided to give Footman James another go ... (I was with them prior to Peter James) Long story short FJ got it down to £521 for the three vehicles - including breakdown cover plus 3rd party cover to drive other folks cars 20 years and older . Tempted. :) Then Adrian Flux rang back with a better offe...
