My 85MY Excel has no aircon. I only use the car periodically on short trips so I am considering using an ice water evaporator
as the installation is minimal, can be removed for winter, and does not eat Horsepower.
Any comments from Forum members?

Why the two tanks? Why not one with a pressure relief valve and as large as the two and avoid a cloggable transfer pipe?
After all the tank is not a swirl tank, it does not have a constant flow through it?

Sludge in the reservoir suggests radiator full flushing.
Merlin Motorsports have a good range of Radiator fans and auxilliaries.
