Re: Wiring diagram needed

I am checking out Digital clock and changing to LED bulbs in 85MY LC and have blown a fuse, which having looked in the fuse box perhaps there is an in-line fuse somewhere or someone previously has done some splicing. Can a kind gentleman (or other) provide me with the wiring diagram so that I can tr...

Re: Elite restoration begins!

From what I see on the photos your box has a mechanical gear selector, no electrical quadrant. Also the throttle control cable from the box is a very delicate adjustment, I wonder how you will connect it to the engine throttle mechanism. You will need a transmission fluid radiator, try Mishimoto UK,...

Ice Water Evaporator for Excel A/C

My 85MY Excel has no aircon. I only use the car periodically on short trips so I am considering using an ice water evaporator
as the installation is minimal, can be removed for winter, and does not eat Horsepower.
Any comments from Forum members?

Re: Replacing fuel line, 87 SE

For UK Forum members.
Can we set up a parts requirement and UK supplier as a complete kit for the UK territory.
It would be a shame to have to import separately from the USA.

For majcd213.
My bad English. The reference to Youtube is for the SU fuel pump renovation with an SU kit, not for thr fibreglass repair.

Re: Steering rack preload. UDATED WITH PRELOAD PROCEDURE

Monday huf!!! The photograph shows torquing a steering box (not rack) but the principle is the same. I do not have the required torque for the Excel, the spring balance should give a constant reading as the pinion is rotated. The cupped socket can almost be adjusted by hand and is not torque measure...

Re: Steering rack preload. UDATED WITH PRELOAD PROCEDURE

The preload is measured on the pinion shaft, pulley and loaded piece of string. To tighten the threaded cup needs very little torque, almost a finger job. I adjusted mine using the external faces of Stilson adjusted against two internal faces of the threaded cup. No need for a special tool when you ...

Re: Cooling issues on 92 SE

ON A SYSTEM REFILL how do you fill the tanks and to what level? With both caps off when you fill the front tank the rear tank will also fill up. You then put the caps on, start the engine and coolant will be pressurised past the rear cap valve to overflow up to working temperature. When the engine i...

Re: Cooling issues on 92 SE

Why the two tanks? Why not one with a pressure relief valve and as large as the two and avoid a cloggable transfer pipe?
After all the tank is not a swirl tank, it does not have a constant flow through it?

Re: Cooling issues on 92 SE

Sludge in the reservoir suggests radiator full flushing.
Merlin Motorsports have a good range of Radiator fans and auxilliaries.
While at it, how about removing and checking the coolant pump, check the head for a smooth water passage.

I want to investigate the clock for non-visible display. What advice to remove the console as it is not obvious

The dust shields carry the handbrake mechanism, cannot be removed for a road car.
