door hinge pin
Can I remove the door hinge pin without taking the door off the beam? it looks like the curve at the top and bottom of the door will stop the pin coming out. the reason I ask is the door has dropped at both ends and equally, so was going to move some of the shims/washers around to raise it up.

Ah, so it doesn't suck any air in, just vents out. cheersCID wrote:Yes it's a breather hole, must be left open + no filter needed.

hole above trumpet on each carb
is the hole above the trumpet on the left side of each carb a breather? if so do they need a filter over them or can you leave them venting to air? the reason I ask is ive made a plate between the carbs to keep then rigid cos ive fitted foam filters over the trumpets and removed the air box.

Re: A little puzzle (Answer: Pektron wiper module)
my old 87 excel had a square flat module with a blue pektron sticker on it, my "new" 86 excel has a more boxy shape module with lotus sticker. is it still a pektron? as my intermittent has packed up.

the rubber outer casings on my excel are faded and cracking. Do narrow body door mirrors fit through the glass like the later ones on mine? cos I know where I can get a pair new. ta
