Re: Central locking
Do you get the same noise from the passenger door when you lock/unlock it? What happens when you use the interior lock handles rather than the exterior locks? (I've spent a lot of time on the CDL system over the years, if it's OK with you, I'd rather walk through some tests than just post it all and...

Re: wiper
It's probably just a "555" timer circuit triggering the relay. I can't see it affecting the self-parking function though. Pete Correct, the delay module plays no part in parking and, in fact, can be unplugged leaving just the slow and fast continuous wipe, IIRC. That looks like must be an early ver...

Re: Carb. woes
Progress! I tweaked the misabs because the gaps looked a little small, and then fully opened up the linkage (both screws) and re-set it, and tweaked the throttle cable so there's just a tiny bit of slack at idle. Both carbs now show the butterflies covering the first and second progression holes and...

And another £82.92 has landed in the kitty - that's nearly enough to cover a year's liability insurance. Thanks for using the affiliate link everyone.

Re: NEC - November 2019
Sorry guys, I'm a little distracted at the moment. Heading into week 4 of recovery from nasty food poisoning bug. Still a bit dependent on codeine to make life bearable. Will deal with NEC issues when I'm fit.

Someone's probably connected them the wrong way round at the gauges.

Elite/Eclat and Excel gearboxes
I know of someone who's looking to sell a couple of gearboxes fairly quickly.
Lotus 5 speed for Elite/Eclat and Toyota 5 speed for the Excel.
He's looking for around £500 for the pair, but open to sensible offers for either.
If you contact me, I'll put you in touch.

Re: Overfuelling issue?
Apropos not very much, honest, can you get the choke pistons out without stripping the carb? i.e. can you get them out with just the top nut and spring removed? Asking for a friend - maybe.

Coolant level sensor resistance
Does anyone have any idea what sort of resistance readings a working coolant sensor should give? I'm pretty sure it should be open circuit when empty, but not sure what a correctly working sensor in a full tank should give, or even if it's detectable with a standard multimeter.
