Re: Anyone near Welwyn Garden City??? Huge Favor to Ask!!!

Hi. I have the same Sigma alarm system fitted to my 1990 Excel and found that every time I got out if I removed the Ignition Key the Central Locking System would automatically Lock the Doors and turn the Alarm on. As I had taken the Key Fob off because it was awkward to use on the Ignition Key found...

Re: Bringing CO emissions down

I asked if I could borrow that CO meter from another member and even offered money as he was willing to lend to the other member for free but was turned down, so went and bought a new one. I set it up as per instructions and got a CO reading of 2.35%. I did have new plugs and air filter fitted as it...

Re: Electric Door Mirror Switch

Hi. Just thought I would inform that I received my new Mirror Switch from SJ this morning, tested it in the car and works fine. I have also reattached the Mirror Glass with double sided tape as they were a bit loose with age. I am at pressent reinforcing the door card holes in the doors as they have...

Re: Electric Door Mirror Switch

Tried lots of places even an old work mate that has a contact at Lotus, and was told they stopped making these type of switches in 2014. That was why I did't try SJ but was trying all the scrap yards. But lone behold a phone call to SJ and found he does have then in stock, so payed the £60 all in an...

Re: Gearbox rubber boot

Hi.
The Lower Gear Lever Gaiter is supplied by SJ Sports Part Number B082F4114F @ £28.70 + VAT & delivery.

I bought one in September last year.

As to fitting it you have to trim the top down as it will not fit as supplied, and a little soap also helps to slid it down the lever.

Re: 215/50r15 back in production

I have Goodyear on my car, I was just making a point that you don't have to pay hundreds of pounds for tyres, if your limited on budget.

I don't care what I pay for parts for my classic cars as long as I get the correct part.

Re: 215/50r15 back in production

I know I'm talking about 205/50 ZR 15 tyres made by Accelera Alpha someone suggested down my local garage as a low cost tyre to use when only doing low yearly mileage, at only about £40 a corner fitted ( valve and balanced ) seems good value. Yes they are made in China but he showed me a picture and...
