Winter Jobs started

I have started the winter projects on my Excel, and figured I would try to keep everyone up to date with the progress if they are interested. A little history on my car, bought Nov 2013, slowly worked on until MOT'd July 2014. Driven for 2,500 miles since then and loving every mile. Now that the col...

Mike,
I hate to state the obvious, but I bought mine from LotusBits, and I am sure they can ship them for you.

Kieran,
Have you found any pictures of this car yet? I have someone with a little interest.

Re: Releasing one back into the community

Kieran,
Let me know if I can help you by taking any pics for you since I am in Feltwell in Norfolk. I will also see if anyone in the area is interested since I get a lot of people asking me about mine especially as I am using it as a daily driver right now.

Re: Ethel's rebuild begins

Excellent work. I would love to be able to see it when it is completed. You are my inspiration on some of the mods I would love to do to mine, especially the instruments. I am hoping to get a good look at some at the NEC this year, and look for other upgrades.
Keep up the good work.

Re: Getting my car a new coat of paint

Thanks everyone for the comments. I may have to postpone my paint job though since my timing belt tensioner snapped on my Saab last weekend. If I can get it running without replacing too many parts this weekend, I might still be able to get the Lotus into my garage so I can start doing the prep work...

Getting my car a new coat of paint

I have talked my wife into my being able to get a respray done on my Excel. I knew it needed it when I purchased it since someone buffed the paint right down to the get coat in several places and has numerous stone chips on the spoiler. I want to talk to a local body shop that said they would do the...

Re: Replacement (alternative) front seats

MrCoolA,
How hard was it to mount the RX8 seats? I am seeing them on ebay going fairly cheap, and in better condition than the XJS seats since they are obviously not as old. Looking at some of the upgrades I want to do to my excel and hoping they will work.

Re: Everything is absolutely bloomin' brilliant!

Way to go Crofty, I still haven't gotten my headlight motors to work right yet. I did get it through MOT in July with having them manually screwed into the up position so that I could drive it. I am in the same position of slowly getting her to where she needs to be. Talked my wife into a respray in...
