Re: Does ANYONE have experience of removing an early heater?

Unfortunately, my drivers fan is seized I believe-if I use the fan at all I get a terrible burning smell, so I think it will need more than lubrication unfortunately. I have spare fans and as you say, the pipework will be easy but I don't expect access to be good........ If you can smell burning, t...

Re: Specialised car cover

Also tempted if it fits an Elite - but Pete's first in the queue! Perhaps you could post a picture of it fitted to the Excel then we could see.

Look forward to hearing from another Richard soon.

Will you be coming back, or is your departure from Excellence permanent?

I might be able to make it as long as I'm far enough through the programme of works, and I get the boss's permission. Will know this weekend. Anybody else?

Re: Does ANYONE have experience of removing an early heater?

Hi John, I've recently needed to attend to the heater on my Elite S2, which I believe has the same heater as the 84 Excel. As it wasn't functioning properly and the fans were squealing I figured it would be a major dash out job to overhaul it. However once I got close to it, by removing the glovebox...

It was great to see a heart warming turn out from the forum, and had a nice chat with RichardW and NigelD before I was lured away by shiney things making loud noises... Sorry I couldn't stay till the very end for the parade, but it's really good to read that Nigel did us proud :D Many tha...

Re: Lotus Festival 2017 - 2 September - confirmed

We had a great display yesterday; on our pitch there were 13 cars - 11 Excels and 2 Elites plus Dunc's Eclat just behind us in the otherwise vacant designated camping area. Elsewhere there was an unrestored Elite (1974 model, which the current owner bought in 1977!), and 2 Excels. Thanks to everyone...

Many thanks Unfortunately I think you'll need a car pass to get into the club areas, and these have already been allocated. However ple...

My drivers seat will be ready for collection tomorrow evening, and the passenger seat on Friday evening, so I should make it by the skin of my teeth! Apparently the seamstress has been off sick with a nasty virus.
