Found it! A Linwood "Keyless" alarm cleverly disguised behind the fuse box. Easily disconnected and removed.

Guys The seat diaphragm on our drivers seat collapsed some time ago. I managed to get a new original replacement and have started to try to fit. Seat is apart, old diaphragm off, cover connected via wires to the new diaphragm. Next step is to connect the diaphragm hooks to frame. The problem is that...

The Lotus handbook actually advises owners to never use car covers as they promote damp and inhibit the airflow through the car.
