Re: Stafford : 31st August

I have started to take fish oil because my memory is on the way out. The gent who I thinks name was Mike was a friend of Tanz's and a Regular at the first Monday Staffordshire meet. Real nice bloke with a really nice genuine car.

1976 Eclat and 1978 Elite

Time to face up to realities, my 1976 eclat which I have be dreaming of doing up needs to find a new owner with the time to put to the project. In brief: 2x lotus shells (1 red eclat and 1 blue elite) 2x chassis (1 old rusty and 1 painted red with care and attention lavished upon it and all its brak...

Re: drivers side wing mirror black rubber boot cover

Like every one else it seems, My O/S mirror cover is looking rather sad, so is the good one I got second hand from LB's (Doing there best but not perfect). Does anyone know a company that could manufacture these / are there enough of us out there who would then warrant a limited production run? Just...

Re: Why are Excel's so cheap and Esprits fetching premium pr

Iangotts Has made the most wonderful point. An excel has a great many virtues, Galvanised Chassis, a robust version of an engine which can be quite difficult to keep in correct trim (excluding liners that is), Toyota's well engineered running gear and simple electrics. means that the Excel is a wond...

Re: Introduction New Lotus Excel owner

Oh I've had fun with the marine ply, even more fun with it on the Turbo Esprit. On that car the bumper is a U shaped section of GRP which is then closed with marine ply (glassed in place) with nutserts in the ply from the inside for the bolts from the body to secure into. I was near the turning off...

Trying to be an active owner

I have owned my 1987 Silver Excel and red 1976 Eclat since 1999. The eclat arrived soon after the Excel because once you own a Norfolk wedge some so and so will sidle up to you in a pub and will say I know where there is another of those going cheap. Like a lamb to the slaughter a week latter you ar...
