My solution is still working.

While it's in my 'backyard', that backyard is 2500 miles away!!
I do have a chap from Utah hitting me up on YouTUbe, owns an Excel, not on the forum. Trying to get him to join here and the FB page. We'll see. Apparently he owns many Lotus!!

Re: leaking fuel
As for the Air Box Clip. I suspect you have A/C?? The hose that is blocking you is the Low Pressure line that comes from the evaporator and goes to the compressor. If you remove any securing items to the hard line along the bulkhead you'll probably get enough freeplay to slip past the hose with the ...

Re: Which Radiator? and new fan?
Put the aluminum in last year, I drive in the southern U.S. Our summer temps get really hot and humid 100*F plus, my coolant does not. I use the MFG recommended Hot weather 170*C or so T-Stat and the Car underway easily stays at that temp. The Fans pop on and off quickly at the 195* otter switch thr...

My Anti Theft is a owning a RHD Manual with a choke in the states. No one in the U.S. would know how to drive if they wanted to steal it. My bigger concern is a flatbed tow truck!!! LoL

Re: New owner, Cambridge
Welcome to the Party! FWIW, my choke has a minor electrical contact issue on the internals. If I pull it out it doesn't usually light, but if I lean a little pressure on the side of the pull it will illuminate until I relieve the pressure, so it could be electrical/mechanical. But Like Angus suggest...

Re: Purge Pump Alternative - Any Updates / guidance
i failed at rebuilding mine, but did replace it with a like item. on eBay search, high pressure micro diaphragm vacuum. lots of good options. now here is my question. is it supposed to Suck Hot air out? or blow atmosphere temps in?? mine is set to suck out, which seems safer from an air filter persp...

Re: Headlights (dim-Dip)..
X2, So did Hawaiis (upgrade to LED). You can see both of our setups in the link in my previous post. I always turn the sidelights on when I drive - a manually operated DRL- this also illuminates the dash gauges, which are also LED upgraded, and makes them so much easier to read since I find the dial...

Re: Headlights (dim-Dip)..
on my 91 SE... I pulled two Dim Dip relays and the 2 AMP fuse just above them. This disables the Dim Dip system completely. Without pulling the fuse the lights are on in the pod Down position. without pulling at least one of the relays the pods are up with the lights off. I didn't experiment too muc...

That light doubles as a low coolant light as well, perhaps cleaning the connections at the reservoir could "shed some light" on the problem?

Re: Oil Pressure Problem?
I'm with L-E-C on this, the thing that stuck out to me was the erratic Volt meter. Mine is rock solid at all RPM. If your electrical system is pulsing voltages all over the place, the gauges will surely respond in kind. Curious, Did you use the choke to cold start? Half choke on my 91SE gives me a f...

Re: orifice tube or expansion valve location on A/C??
Roger, I'm trying to not touch the Evaporator and if the valve is tucked in there, I'll be assuming it's good!!! I did have the old A/C working briefly before I replaced the compressor. So, I'm hopeful it's GTG. Now to ID the size of the high pressure port size coming in to the engine bay>>> Might b...

orifice tube or expansion valve location on A/C??
1991 SE with A/C.
anyone know where the orifice tube or expansion valve should be located on the A/C system??
also, any idea what size the high pressure line fitting to the evaporator connection point in the engine bay is? it's smaller then the standard #6 that I was hoping to encounter
