The bits under the bonnet came out, surprised how heavy the pump was.
Did look to remove the condensor in the dash.
As it's part of the air vent lines I just left it in place.

It halves it's value in 18-24 months.

Took a simpler appraoch.....

Took it out.

I'd lost gas due to the radiator splitting.
So pulled the pipes etc out.
Makes access easier without pipework and saved about 15Kg in weight.
(not that you'd notice that )

Not really missed it, and that was some 18mths ago.

Think I'm going to look at some sort of strengthening before I fit it.

As it's seems fairly common this suggests a weak point, of just bloody speed bumps. The metal duct on mine is very scored. Not sure weather thats after, before or the reason the passenger side support wing has broken off.

Checked under the car the other day and one end is fully broken, the other split. The broken end is sitting nicely on the rubber skirt mountings at present. So Just ordered one from Mike Taylor. We're taking our grandson to Blackpool this weekend but guess I know what I'll be doing the weekend after.

Another possible cause is maybe that the seals in the master cylinder are swelling up and restricting the return flow to the reservoir when I release the pedal. . A rubber swell test is one done on brake fluid and this would most likely be a non reversable characterisitic of the material. Also, if ...
