Elite/Eclat carpet templates

A very generous member, Jon Davy, has donated the old carpets and templates that he made from them to the club - including the sound deadening pieces. His car is a lovely Eclat Riviera, therefore an S2.2. They include carefully shaped templates for the pieces covering the seat mountings. All the pie...

Re: NEC Classic Motor Show 2023 Friday 10 - Sunday 12 November 2023

Only 3 weeks to go until the NEC Classic Car Show! We have three very interesting cars on display - a very original low mileage Elite 503, an Immaculate Esprit Turbo, and Marcus Horrell’s amazing Excel based creation with V8 power and Uracco-esque styling. We will also be selling the 2024 calendars ...

Re: NEC Classic Motor Show 2023 Friday 10 - Sunday 12 November 2023

I’d like to say a big Thank You to those who have bought tickets using our code for the show - certainly we haven’t seen this level of sales since I’ve been involved. I know some people are finding it too expensive - particularly for a family day out - so if there are any amongst you for which this ...

Re: Front exhaust downpipes

Is this what you’re after Pete? I acquired them as part of my (stalled) project to revert to a standard exhaust and manifold. I’m pretty sure they came off an SE. You’re welcome to borrow them to use as a pattern. https://onedrive.live.com/embed?resid=AA5C715E52208A4D%21533&authkey=%21APgwqp03pGXCe-...

Different Elite/Eclat and Excel pcd with Speedlines

There was recently some controversy over the different pcd of the Speedline wheel as fitted to the Elite/Eclat S2.2, and as fitted to the early Excel. The early Excel, we know, has a pcd of 113.5 or thereabouts, but the Elite/Eclat pcd is around 100 for cars fitted with Speedlines. Here is a picture...

Warming up the engines for the NEC Classic Car Show on Friday 10 - Sunday 12 November. It is a great event and we will be there again this year with some interesting cars volunteered by members, including a low mileage original Elite 501, a beautifully built variation on the Excel with V8 engine and...

Re: Virtual meetings anyone?

I’m sorry there hasn’t been a Zoom meeting for a few weeks - life gets in the way! As always please feel free to set up and announce a meeting rather than waiting for me. Looking at my diary, the next one I can do is Wednesday 4 October at 7.15 pm.
