First door off. Loads more issues.
Bottom bush has gone in the door hinge by the looks. Door beam is solid though :D
Door strap bolt smashed.
Door latch disintegrated due to poor PO repair.
Central locking bobbin sheared

Door hinge-pin bushes should be fairly easy to fix. Great that the beam is in good condition.

The front screen had multiple stone chips so was being replaced anyways. However, it was one edge chip which caught my cutting wire which killed it.

Evaporator section of the Air Con unit and blower fan removed to clear the engine bay

Image

Three bolts hold the Evap in, the 2 seen above and a 3rd just to the lower right off cam.

2 washers later found between the unit and bracket.

The lowest hole is the drain which was sealed with sealant. All in all not too difficult

This bracket which holds the heater valve in the engine bay and the wiper motor behind the bulkhead posed a thought.
Image
After removing the 3 nuts, it was still on solidly, only to find that there is a second nut between the wiper and the bulkhead

Hallo from Italy
I'm the owner of a 1979 LHD Elite 501 originally sold here in my country, one of the very few.
The car is in very original condition but it was standing from a while, in another part of this Forum I asked about where to buy a timing belt as I understand this must be changed ASAP when you don't know if this it has been done recently. Unfortunately the previous owner has passed away therefore I have no info on previous maintenance. Looking forward to use it after a good service. I will post some pics when it will be on the road.

You check your pulleys for square or round tooth. Should be square (trapezoidal) unless previous owner modified
or try ebay (this link not verified:
