Hampshire meet up

SO I am happy to go to either, however I have never meet up with anyone from the club before, so would be great to meet up and chat and not just look at loads of other classic cars, which I do love to do. I actually don't even remember the last time I saw an Excel on the road maybe 20 years!( apart from my own ) But I'm relaxed about either way

We are really friendly group of Excel owners, I expect we will arrive in a haphazard way and park up then we tend to all find one another, at the Hinton Arms you enter the pub car park and the drive leads past the garden of the pub where there is a barbecue an outside bar and plenty of seating. Hopefully we can second some bench seating and relax.

Weather looks good for Sunday, for those interested in National Trust properties the estate and and house of Hinton Ampner is next door, and open.
Hope I'm right in saying all Lotus forum members are welcome even if not driving a Lotus.

The Hinton Arms Car Show turned out to be an absolute gem. There were 7 Excels there a bit spread out. Apologies to Tony as every time I tried to photograph his car there were people in the way admiring it. Great to see everyone.

Great to meet some new faces and cars today. We had 7 Excels on show!
I really fell for that early red Excel with the Toyota wheels. If you ever consider selling it, please give me first refusal?

Echoing the sentiments above - a nice laid-back car event. A good crowd, the right number of cars & people and well run by the organisers.

It was an extra pleasure for me, it was the first Excel meet-up I've been to and it was a good one! Great seeing you guys from the forum.

Thank you Shaun for the compliments - the early red Excel is mine. However there were some lovely examples there, I think we all did the marque proud.

Thanks folks for being OK with change of venue and pleased it all worked out, good to meet old and new faces, looks like the next meeting in the Spring could be the Sunday afternoon classic car meet at http://www.thedepartureloungecafe.co.uk/ on the Basingstoke to Alton Road near Alton and Lasham gliding centre.
I think we should make one Excel owners father an honourary member with his if you didn't see it absolutely immaculate MGC roadster.
