Sorry guys I thought I had set it up to allow people to join before the host! Anyway I can sit a little more comfortably this morning and will set a meeting up for next week.

If someone is willing, it is not difficult to set up a zoom meeting so if you’d like me to guide you through it so you can be reserve organiser let me know.

I had a look and set up a zoom account last night - so could act as reserve zoom setter upper if you like.

Procedure for setting up a Zoom meeting (on iPad app)

1. Select Schedule, then enter time/date/duration of meeting. I normally use 1 hour, but we get kicked off anyway after 40 minutes.

2. Unselect ‘Enable waiting room’ - I failed to do this for the meeting I set up for yesterday.

3. Under ‘meeting options’ select ‘Host video on’ and ‘Participant video on’.

4. Select ‘Advanced options’ then select ‘Allow participants to join before host’

After you select ‘Done’, you will see a window pop up with the meeting link and details. Copy this and paste into forum/Facebook etc and/or you can email it.

That’s more or less it!

I believe I missed organising the zoom meeting last Wednesday - I am sorry, with my recent problems I lost track of time! Not a great excuse but it was the reason.

Anyway I was going to propose next Wednesday but I have started to become involved in another activity that happens on occasional Wednesday evenings, and next Weds is one of those. Would next Tuesday evening be any good for people, or are you happy to wait another week?

As an alternative if anybody (Alan?) would like to coordinate a meeting next Wednesday then I’m absolutely fine with that.
