Kindly created by Bash’s daughter. We'll be getting some printed as door and/or bonnet stickers and will offer them for sale at close to cost nearer the time.

The Classic Team Lotus tour on Saturday 13th is now fully booked! There is still space for people to join the Run on Friday 12 August, and to join us for dinner that night.

*****r. I was too slow off the mark.
If anyone booked needs to drop out, can I be first reserve. Would happily take 2 spots if they became free.

No you’re not too late Tony - I was referring to the bookings I have noted down, not the payments sent to Richard Parramint - I understand that those may take a few days!

I asked to be part of the run and dinner at the announcement of the run. I requested a run board when they ask to know how many were needed to be made, but I've heard nothing since. I've since seen in the Club Lotus magazine that the run starts at the Kings Head of which I know of a couple locally (I'm only a stone's throw from Hethel).
Communications are lacking from my point of view.

Murray: "And there are flames coming from the back of Prost's car as he enters the swimming pool."
James: "Well, that should put them out then."

I’m going to be putting out a formal itinerary and schedule early next week. The rally plaque stickers are here and I will also be asking people if they want them posted out or collect them on the day.

I’m sorry if you have found communications less than adequate, but I’m doing the organisation unpaid and on my own and have been struggling with less than perfect health and a less than perfect car. Bash has produced the stickers, and as Simon Freebrey can’t be with us, Tony Donnelly and Dave Court will be helping with the run itself (although Simon is still very kindly doing the route map.) I do rely on people asking questions when they have them which is the purpose of the thread.

I hope this addresses your concerns, and am sorry for the poor communication.

I have just emailed out the arrangements and itinerary for the Run, so if you think you are coming but for some reason don’t have an email, for goodness sake let me know as it is easy for information to fall through the cracks between the forum, Facebook and email. It sometimes does my head in keeping up with and synchronising all three.

Cheers, Richard

Are red trousers the order of the day for the meal ?

Is there a chance of adding one to the run please? I wasn't sure I'd have a viable car for it but now am sure that I will.

Yes Andy, no problem. Do you also want to join us for dinner and visit Classic Team Lotus on Saturday morning? I believe we can fit you in, but I need to know before Monday.

Thanks Richard but don't think I'll be able to make the other aspects though.

Suggestion for the A14 runners:

I understand Bryan is overnighting Thursday at Premier in Kettering ( NN16 8FX) - along side the A14.
Newmarket service (CB8 0XG) is 1 hour away, and Hetherset (NR9 3DD) another 1 hour on from that - According our friend Google maps.

10:15 departure from Premier Kettering.
11:15 arrive Newmarket Service
12:00 depart Newmarket
1:00 Arrive Hetherset

That's 30 minutes before Richards suggested arrival, but sure we'll see some traffic.
Run starts 2:30 so still plenty of float.

I plan to meet Bryan at Kettering Premier.
