Indeed. My 6-y-o son and I spent the first hour sitting in the car, eating crisps and looking through the fogged-up window at a Stag. Well, at least I didn't still have my Spitfire, that leaked dreadfully.

Yup, I'm on for that one again this year.

A little bird tells me that there may be a trophy awarded for the nicest Winterbottom related car at Hinckley this year - so that will include certain TVRs!

As many of us know, Oliver was a regular visitor to the show and good mates with the organiser.

Cheers, Richard

Info has come through from the organisers. They want cars coming as a group to arrive in convoy. Any suggestions as to where we should congregate to form our convoy? Who are the final attendees?

Yes, I see the Oliver Winterbottom award. Seems to be open to all Lotus / TVR, from the description of the award (but not Jaguars).

Sounds a good place Stu.
Pre Reg pass says to enter from the North East ( New Buildings) and group convoys should arrive between 7:30 & 8:30 Am :!: :!:
I guess by being early it is possible to get an area on the park behind the car park most of our cars were in last year :?: - Which would be nice.

Fortunately I'm fairly close so would be happy with an 8:00 Meet up , but whats the concensus?

It's a long day and many slots down the high street block you in for the duration. However, you can be marshalled out if you need to depart.

The top Argents Mead car park is my preferred slot as it is an easy any time exit.

This is adjacent the grassed park area.

It's my home town so I'll be local and can meet at any time not jinking a no start event :)

Yes Tesco car park was good last year. I know of two other Excels coming who are members of Club lotus Staffs one of which was there last year.

Just had an update - due to Her Majesty's imminent funeral, the Hinkley show has been postponed by a week to 25th September.

I am still intending to be there on the revised date.
