Lotus Ypres Meet 2022

Post by carlp »

Just back from this amazing Lotus meet, 130+ lotus cars but only 3 (perhaps 4) of our 'rare' breed. Two Excels, a lovely silver Eclat and I think one Elite (or did I imagine that). A 150 mile run across the back roads of Flanders with the obligatory lunch, afternoon and evening dinner. I can definitely recommend this event if you fancy a trip to Belgium. There were about 30 cars from the UK, mainly from the LDC and SELOC.

Looks a good run. I saw a review in the latest Club Lotus mag and thought I might be interested next year - assuming it's annual.
Just signed up to the news letter.

It's not a race so pretty calm so no problem keeping up with the 'newer' Lotus cars. The roads were quite narrow and windy so good "Lotus" roads..
Not sure why the photo is not showing??

I can see photo, but the link for the photo points to an image on a web page that doesn’t have a security certificate, so settings on your device may be blocking it?

Great photos dude. Nice to hear that the pace was ok, its not clever trying to keep up with 30 years of development, its what puts me off group runs. Looks a great weekend.

Planning to go again this year but in the Elan. Given the nature of the roads (mostly small narrow country roads), keeping up with more modern Lotus cars should not be an issue and it's not a race anyway...
