It’s a big garage but not being a Russian oligarch I couldn’t afford one big enough for the Excel let alone the Elise

They’ve announced that on Saturday they are doing a Pootle in the Peak - see below.
Anyone fancy this??

For people doing the full Lotus in the Peak weekend we have some additional entertainment for Saturday 1st July - Pootle in the Peak!

This is a gentle guided drive through some of the most stunning and lesser known parts of the Peak District, a mixed route of just over 40 miles, starting at Monsal Head and ending at The Great British Car Journey at Ambergate, just in time for some lunch 🙂

The start will be at 10:30am on Saturday 1st July, at the Monsal Head car park, postcode DE45 1NL

The finish will be at The Great British Car Journey at approximately 12:30 luchtime, postcode DE56 2HE

There is no MLOC cost to join this event but please note that places are strictly limited. People who are booked onto the BBQ or a Sunday Run will be given piority to claim a place. There is a £5 parking fee at the Great British Car Journey but this does give you a fairly generous peek at the excellent car collection and access to the all important cafe and toilets!

If you would like to join Pootle in the Peak on Saturday please message duncx on the MloC forum - or leave a post on this thread.

If you don't want to join Pootle you will still be very welcome to meet us at The Great British Car Journey for a cuppa/natter/tyre kicking session - just turn up around lunchtime and we will be there 👍

Looks like a good option for Saturday.
Just prompting me to sort out the bookings for the weekend. Will probably do the classic run again.

Booking a table for Saturday is a good idea - thanks for that Alan. I generally eat at about 7.00 - 7.30, but happy to go with the flow!

You've got my schedule correct, and yes, sounds a good plan to eat together Friday evening.
What time are you planning to arrive Friday?

Will there be any food available in Eyam (other than the picnic)? I can't really find any details about the Sunday venue - the sports field. Just wondering whether to book the picnic.

Think I'll take a drive over next week and check out any cafes.

Have tried calling the Manifold many times over the last few days and unable to get a reply. Have now emailed them and will await their answer.
