2007 Callander Classic

Post by amarshall »

Just received this anyone else interested ? It would be nice to put on a show for them since the Excel is 25 in 2007 too.

"Dear Club Organiser,

Next year on the weekend of the 25th 26th 27th August we shall be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Callander Classic Weekend, founded by an enthusiastic group of club reps from different clubs when they decided to get together and organise a fun weekend for all their club members to enjoy.

As a Club that has supported the event or perhaps more recently requested to attend next years event, the 25th Anniversary we would like to invite you and your club to join with us in those celebrations.

The attached leaflet describes our proposals including a request to yourselves to put forward any new ideas and suggestions on what you would like to see take place at the event.

If for instance you are celebrating your own clubs anniversary or perhaps the anniversary of a particular model represented by your club we would like to hear from you. Hopefully we can include an appropriate special celebration for you at the Callander Classic Weekend. If you would like to put on a special display or cars and perhaps a parade in the main arena than please let us know and we will do our utmost to accommodate your wishes and provide support.

You will see that we are offering a £500 first prize for the concours event and six Le Mans 24hrs or Classic Le Mans Packages for the Driving Challenge Winners worth almost £1000. This represents just an example of some of the exciting 25th Anniversary proposals planned.

Club's do change their representatives quite often and if you happen to have stood down from representing your club perhaps you would be kind enough to let us know and advise us of your replacement. Some clubs will receive this invitation through more than one representative. This is simply because our data base records show that each of these people have at some time been our our contact point so please excuse us if this causes a little confusion. Again it would help if you could advise us on any changes in this respect.

Please put the date in your club diary and we look forward to hearing from you as early as possible your ideas and requests.

Best Regards

Tony Flint
