Apparently - we are the "Excel Register" (according to Club Lotus).

While everyone was waiting to get in. Mick, Alan, Colin & I were explaining what an Excel is to some local police officers ....

Well done everyone - hope you have all enjoyed the weekend.
Great effort by all concerned and lots of interest over the two days.
Thanks especially to Angus for the video show and the stickers.
Must do it again some time!

No thanks due to me - MickC, Colin, Chris and Alan deserve the credit for getting the cars and stand arranged on Friday, and MickC especially for liaising with Club Lotus and bagging us the prime site at the entrance - now back to discussing the finer points of Donington policing

I suppose we could say that the police support for the stand has given the Excel's reputation a bit of a leg up (or is that over?).

What a great weekend.

I got home today after a boozy sunday night in Nottingham.

Big thanks to all involved over the weekend, Colin, Angus, Alan and Chris. Without all your help it would never have happened.

Nice to put some faces to names and meet and enroll new members.

For a first effort it was great success, well done everyone.

Alan Morgan grabbed me on the way out to thanks us, he also mentioned the possibility of an Excel presence at Silverstone  so watch this space.

Mick

I can say with hand on heart that I genuinely have no clue what those girls were selling at the show.

I was not brave enough to take pics either, so many thanks for these! 8)

One of the girls was remarking how she feels that I should not put the LSD in my Excel, as it makes the car suffer from unpredictable oversteer, and that I should stick with the standard unit. The other one said which diff ratio matched which speedo, and gave the Smiths Instruments part number, can't read what I wrote though..... I think the ink ran with my drool....
