CLUB LOTUS – SCOTLAND
JIM CLARK REMEMBRANCE WEEKEND

PROGRAMME 15/16 MAY 2010
SATURDAY

Morning:- Head for David Coulthard Museum at Twynholm in Dumfriesshire:-

(a)Those from Scotland (East) meet up at 0845 in the car park of Marks & Spencer at the Gyle Edinburgh, leave at 0900hrs and drive down to Moffat arriving at 1030.
(b) Those from Scotland (West) meet up at 0915 at Bothwell Services, leave at 0930, drive down to Moffat arriving at 1030.
(c) Those from South of the Border could catch us at Moffat at 1030, or make alternative arrangements (to meet up?) to head for Twynholm.

10.30The Moffat arrivals assemble in town square, leave at 1045, arriving Twynholm at 1200hrs.
Note: If possible, please advise Andrew Laing (tel/email - see below) if you intend to join us for lunch at Twynholm
Afternoon:- 1200 Visit the Coulthard Museum and watch Monaco G.P. Qualifying with soup tea and sandwiches. Leave after Qualifying for drive to Swinton / Duns.
Proposed Route:-
Twynholm-15m-Castle Douglas-18m-Dumfries-20m- Moffat-22m-St Mary’s Loch
(toilet stop)-12m- Selkirk-21m-Kelso-21m-Duns . Total 129miles!

Evening:- 20.00 - Dinner in the Wheatsheaf Hotel Conservatory in Swinton, hosted by Club President Alan Morgan, with Richard Parramint of Classic Team Lotus as our guest speaker

SUNDAY

Morning:- 1030 - Display the cars in Duns outside the Jim Clark Room. Visit the Room which will open early for Club Lotus members.

1100 –Group to be assembled to visit Exhibition “Jim Clark and Friends” in Duns Museum opposite Jim Clark Room

Afternoon 1200 - Leave Duns in convoy for drive to Chirnside to arrive 1220 and lay a wreath from Club Lotus at Jim’s grave.
1245 Leave Chirnside and head back to Duns for lunch at the Black Bull and our own F1 party.

1600 End of the weekend and all leave for home.
