Re: Stafford : 31st August
I've now had an email from the organiser asking for car details so the ticket purchase procedure seems to be working.

Re: Stafford : 31st August
They sent my ticket by e mail.
Peter - I don't know why they are asking you for car details. I sent all that to them and they replied thanking me so I know they have received them,

What time are you guys planning on getting there? Do we have to arrive early to get the cars on display?

A link with info is here http://runwaydisplay.biglaunch.net/
It says doors open at 10am so I would guess that we need to be there by 9.30. I will fire off an e mmail to them and find out.

Exit the M6 at junction 14 and take the A5013 signposted Eccleshall.
Proceed through the village of Cresswell.
Pass the sign that says 'Welcome to Great Bridgeford'
Turn left onto the B5405 (Newport Road) signposted Woodseaves.
Pass the Great Bridgeford Village Hall on the left
Proceed through a series of bends and turn left at the staggered crossroads.
Pass the entrance to the Staffordshire Gliding Club on the right
Centre is a further 200m on the right.
From the A41:
Turn onto the A519 for approximately 4.7 miles towards Woodseaves.
At Woodseaves turn right onto the B5405 and stay on that road for approximately 4.7 miles.
Pass the Ladfordfields Industrial Estate on the left and turn right onto Clanford Road.
Pass the entrance to the Staffordshire Gliding Club on the right
Centre is a further 200m on the right.

I have started to take fish oil because my memory is on the way out. The gent who I thinks name was Mike was a friend of Tanz's and a Regular at the first Monday Staffordshire meet. Real nice bloke with a really nice genuine car.

BTW looking at your signature..my lasting memory of anything Triumph was a ride in a work colleagues Herald Vitesse during 1974 which had massive scuttle shake around 60 mph ... so it's a period feature I think ..enjoy!

Re: Stafford : 31st August
Great to meet everyone and have a 'new' car on display. Good luck finishing off the rebuild Ian - paint job looks great. The Elite belongs to John who is a member off Club Lotus Staffs and is willing to show his car at the NEC. He is a bit worried about his oxidised wheels but intends to polish them up a bit soon.
