I think a definitive list of toolkit complements would be really useful for the nerdier amongst us. That small toolkit looks more like an ornament... Very small but perfectly formed!
Could anyone list spanner and socket sizes in these kits though, the pics are great but don't really identify the contents. Nice to see all this info but still waiting for any insight on the roll kits... Anyone???

   Just gone to check my tool kit socket sizes and either some one has swapped my tool kit or the photo I posted isn't mine. However, I do seem to remember placing spare fuses in the case as shown. The one I just opened has no fuses.

Dont know what to - feel mad or embarressed :|

Has anyone got my tool kit?

Would an 83 Excel toolkit be the same as an 82 Esprit one?

If so, I posted individual pictures of all the tools on TLF - https://www.thelotusforums.com/forums/t ... on/?page=8

Esprit toolkit I would guess is related. I see you also have the blue dip pliers. What make is your screwdriver and spanner/adj spanner? As I recall there was an adjustable in the Elite toolkit of 80'ish as well. Also what size spanner do you have and is the screwdriver double ended flat and cross-point?
Thanks

Here you go Mike - Took the Esprit to GST for it's annual service this morning - brrrr... It was bloody cold on Newmarket Station. Will check if the screwdriver is double ended when it comes back.

Guys, Im adding any pics you send to my blig... Im assuming you dont mind. If you do pls let me know and Ill remove them. Id really like info on tool size, spec and manufacturer (if branded) and I will put together a table... but its already clear that theres a lot of diversity.

Mike - there are individual pics of all the tools in my Esprit Tool roll on the link in my first post. You are welcome to add them to your blog - but remember they are for an 82 Turbo Esprit, although I would assume that they would be extremely similar (if not the same) is for the same MY Excel.

I've also got an unused toolbox from an 89 Esprit that I bought for my 89 Excel under the assumption that they were the same.

Chris... are you sure your adjustable is original. I only ask as its unbranded and I would have expected a King Dick. I see the adjustable was dropped from later kits anyway. I dont have one but apparently I have an ectra spanner... not original so maybe this was a swap by the PO who had a constant roadside need for an 8mm?

Does nobody have an original Excel tool roll?
Cheers

I bought my 82 Esprit in 1987 and it was in the car then. Never been used as far as I'm aware.
