Trim code?

Post by tezzan »

Did Lotus have trim codes for the Excel interiors?

I'm getting some leather paint from Funriture Clinic using a colour match, I've taken a sample from behind the door trim and I'm about to send it off. FC's sample form asks for a Trim Code but I can't find one.

The paint code from my chassis plate is L42 (ie Calypso red) but no trim code. It's an 84 model and I've got a half leather interior in kind of cream/off-white colour.

I suspect that FC won't really need the code but just thought I'd check if anyone knew about this?

Cheers

Not that I'm aware of. The part-fabric trimmed cars, in particular, every car seems to be different, I've not seen another with the same cloth as mine.

2022 MG MG5 EV (not due to be a classic for quite a few years...)
2011 Nissan Leaf (Ragly - EV pioneer, must be due to be a classic one day)

Cheers for that Richard. Sounds like I'll be relying on FCs colour matching process!
