Recommendation for braided brake hoses

Post by Alan_M »

I’ve had a look, and PNM, Lotusbits and SJ all do them. Anyone know if they all the same in terms of quality or is there a difference?
PNM and Sj are basically the same price, but Lotusbits £20 or 33% more expensive.

The main thing to look at are the fittings at each end - whether they are plated steel or stainless and whether they are "reusable" or swaged. Also don't forget that stainless braided hoses need regular inspection to check for fatigue cracking of the braid - easy on a bike or frequently-checked track car - less so on a road car. I build my own from parts usually bought from Think Automotive. Most of the time I've gone back to rubber hoses these days.
