Used to work on Volvos in the 1980's. The red block engines are bomb proof.

If you were talking about front brakes on an Eclat/Elite then I'd suggest 4 pot Subaru calipers on Citroen Xantia V6 (283x 26mm) discs like I've done -

I thought about chopping the front end about but wasn't sure how much the shell adds strength to the chassis once bolted together tbh? Mine's pretty much as Lotus intended.

I nearly commented after Pete's post and Photo that the car was one wing short of a set.
I came to the forum too late to have followed that project, so I need to read up on it. Where's the car now?

Engine/gearbox probably in an M3 track car by now somewhere on the south coast. Body and the rest up in Scotland - not all with the same person!
