As promised I've checked with Footman James about the tyre sizes.They say that if the car manufacturer (ie Lotus) say that it is safe to use different size tyres front to rear and in case of emergencies different sizes on the same axle then they will cover you in the event of an accident. If Lotus say its not safe then you are not covered.
Footman James emergency breakdown cover will only replace a tyre of the SAME size as the one that is punctured.
