The roof lining looks a little odd. Seems to have a different rectangle where a sunroof would normally be.

Looking again, I think it might be the passenger sun visor?

I think you're right about the sun visor. The rectangle seems to line up with a similar rectangle on the other side.

Sneaky or clever?

Uses Ebay to set a sale with a hidden (reachable?) reserve whilst the fishers go fishing for that figure. Then with no Ebay sale, whacks the car on a website at the highest last bid

It looks a total match, external colour and all internal trimming, to my similar aged Elite. Except for my brown(ish) vinyl(ish) factory fitted roof covering.
