Does anyone know what size it is and whether it is UNF, UNC or Metric?
My windscreen fitter lost mine whilst removing screen :-(
Thanks in advance.

I would have thought they're technically an imperial 5/16 but with an M8 fitting as it's slightly bigger hole but only by a fraction of a mm. Reason for thinking that is that those wiper wheel boxes are ancient design and used on BL cars of the 70s when everything was imperial.

I think I have an old one in the lock-up (from a pre-SE car) - I'll try to remember to dig it out and have a measure of the threads.

If it was imperial it would be 5/16" x 20 tpi which would make it a cycle thread, which is unlikely. I also make it M8.

Only 20 tpi threads in bicycles are pedal threads

Thanks all for your input. I tend to agree it will be more likely to be imperial.
Car seats out at present and replacing securing nuts and bolts with stainless, so will use one of them nuts with a spring washer as they will be from 84 era.

Hi Chris,
Slow going with interior. I decided to use a local guy who does it on top of doing an overnight HGV job.
Been going near on a year, first he couldn't get leather and foam due to Covid backlog, then he had cataracts operated on on both eyes, so was out of action for 2 periods of 6 weeks. Just waiting for him to cover centre binnacle on dash and finish drivers seat.
I have repainted rest of car with Scratch Doctor leather colourant. Came out good considering I am going cream over red!
Catch up when finished, say 2025 :(
