Hi Martin, are these still for sale, does the illumination work and are they the 'raised centre type?' I'm coming to the meet in Devises next weekend so if you've still got them and the answer to the questions above is 'yes', I'd like to buy a couple of them. :D The illumination has stopped working on one of mine.

Regards

Shaun

Hi Shaun

Not sure what you mean by the raised switch bit but they do light up - but I will bring them with me and if it is what you want then you buy two of them

There are two types - the original "pyramid" type which have a raised ("nipple") centre section (as shown in the parts manual), and a later version which does the same job but is more of a conventional rocker switch.

Looks like there are three different variates:
-One used from 91 to 93
-One used between 86 to 91
-One Used up to 86
From SJ all three are significantly different which screws me up cause mine that is busticated is 90 and SJ dosent have it in stock...

Any spares kicking around?

Adam

I thought I had some, but I can't find them.

The "in the door" versions are both the same (electrically and plugwise at least), the only change is the pyramid vs. rocker. They're Rover parts (MG for preference to get the green illumination) from Maestro/Montego and possible a few others.

For those who have no illumination the switches come apart easily, I have soldered these in as replacements

The green colour is just a rubber cap that fits over the lamp and can be removed from the blown one and refitted on these.
