Re: Fuel Line splitting

Post by chrisw2811 »

I found a couple of splits in the outer sleeve of my fuel pipe while at Castle Combe and evidence of leakage on the vertical run at the rear of the engine (i.e. traces of liquid on the outer sleeve). Drove home OK but looks like it needs replacement line as there is a petrol smell and a film of liquid on the outer after running the engine. I'm thinking of using 8mm id fuel injection hose plus an outer protective sleeve and I assume that I'm going to have to transfer the existing fittings and connect the new hose to the existing pipe from the pump and filter. Where and how is the best way to connect into the existing fuel line?
