Guages and wires

For all those wiring gremlins we love, this is the place to discuss them.

On later cars it's white/brown for oil & green/blue for water.

Hi

And yes that is what I thought.

I have replaced all my gauges and I have a strange issue regarding the water temp and oil pressure.

Looking at the wires to both those senders in the engine compartment they are as you said, green/blue to water temp sender and white/brown to oil pressure sender. However. when I wire the gauges up like that the oil presser gauge doesn't work. but if I wire the blue green to the oil pressure it does work and if you rev the engine the needle goes up ect and also the white brown to temp gauge also works.

so I am very confused.

Thanks

Someone's probably connected them the wrong way round at the gauges.
