Wiper Motor question

For all those wiring gremlins we love, this is the place to discuss them.

Wiper Motor question

Post by kiwiexcel »

I have diagnosed that I have a short within my 1984 wiper motor. The motor is a Lucas windscreen wiper motor 75704. Can anybody tell me where this motor is commonly used apart from the Excel?

I need a replacement from either here in New Zealand or Australia.

With thanks. B

IIRC its the same as fitted to Triumphs, such as TR6 and some MGBs. You just need to compare the amperage. (Think 14A but please check.)
Kind regards

Finally, all is solved.

I got an autoelectrical business in Christchurch to rewind the motor.

Being at the bottom of the world has its advantages.
