I have diagnosed that I have a short within my 1984 wiper motor. The motor is a Lucas windscreen wiper motor 75704. Can anybody tell me where this motor is commonly used apart from the Excel?
I need a replacement from either here in New Zealand or Australia.
With thanks. B

Re: Wiper Motor question
IIRC its the same as fitted to Triumphs, such as TR6 and some MGBs. You just need to compare the amperage. (Think 14A but please check.)kiwiexcel wrote:I have diagnosed that I have a short within my 1984 wiper motor. The motor is a Lucas windscreen wiper motor 75704. Re: Wiper Motor question
Finally, all is solved.
I got an autoelectrical business in Christchurch to rewind the motor.
Being at the bottom of the world has its advantages.
