Re: No Spark Gremlins
No issues in the last 350 miles, so all is looking very positive.
Even didn't throw a wobbler when Mrs Jinxed came with me for a two day trip into the Malverns .
And starting to find a new starting technique. Seems 2 presses of accelerator over richens things. Better to crank from cold for a second or two, then dab the pedal.

Re: No Spark Gremlins
Well Tony, looks like my SA is going the same way as yours, and thanks to this thread I’ve been able to work it out quite quickly.
Last 4 or 5 times I’ve used the SA it has just cut out after about 3 minutes of running.
Initially starts first time, then if just left to idle will cut. This always happens at the time when the cold vacuum advance switches off, so a sudden large movement of the distributor internals.
It then just will not start - no spark.
A fiddle with the wire going into the distributor and away she goes again instantly and then hasn’t given any trouble while driving.
