Where is the LH electric window fuse?

or the RH for that matter. My handbook says they are 20A, numbers 30 and 31 (Driver/Passenger) located at the right-hand end of the relay bank in the RH lower fascia, behind the main fuse box. I'm sure I'm in the right place - the low fuel tell tale delay module"M" is bright red and larger than the others, then there's two more relays, then there should be fuses 29, 30, 31 - but mine stops at 29 ("Heated Seat" - do what??).

LH window only has stopped working, I want to check the fuse before checking switches, motor, etc.

Thanks,

<oops - edited, 20A (Yellow) not 10A (Red) >

ISTR there's a 3rd block of fuses, not attached to the main block - a b*gg*r to get to and the window fuses are in it. It's well hidden up to the right behind the main fuse panel.

Hi Hodders

My car is a '89 MY and the fuses are where you (and the workshop notes) say they should be (or at least there are two 20A fuses there - I've got no doors on at the moment, so I can't test them!). The fuse holders clip together in rows - check to see if yours have come free and are dangling on the ends of the wires.

I agree with Pete - mine is '91 and they are where the handbook says (sorry image is fuzzy)

My handbook is like Alan's, and Pete's suggestion sounds plausible - but I went for a bumpy drive today and the window is working again...so will leave the fuse hunt to another time. Ta.

I never did find the fuses, but there was voltage at the door switch - turned out that the brushes in the window motor had jumped off the commutator - the PO had been spraying WD40 around there rather liberally by the looks of it. Reassembled motor and all OK (just like fixing model railway locomotives 30 years ago). Except I replaced the motor with the spindle in the up position when it should have been down; no matter I just turned the L/H passenger switch around in the door frame. Then I went to the driver's side and remembered the L/H window switch there... :oops: but I can live with a reversed switch for now, nobody but me will know :oops: :oops:

I have just had a replacement LH window motor fitted (at Lotusbits). The window has stopped working. Before I go back to them I want to check out the fuses. Buggered I can find them. Are they behind the main panel under the steering column where the relays live?

The fuses are in the passenger side fuse box. There is a diagram in the service notes Section MF page 40
