sidelights coming on of their own accord

82/84 model excel ...
not been working on it for a few days
come back tonight and the sidelights have switched themselves on :?:
tried switching on and off the igniton/lights and they are still on :evil:


what would cause this ?

Deffo a gremlin has got into the wiring ....

going to disconnect the battery to stop it for the moment
skating away on the thin ice of a new day

Put money on the relay being stuck !!

That's what I thought - but you may prefer to put your money on mds666 :wink:
In this cold weather, my sidelights take about 10 seconds to come on, which I'm sure is the relay sticking.

think its the relay

pulled the fuses

I was working on the car for a few hours and put the fuses back in

gone out !!


clearing up after fighting with my new seats ...on again :evil:

I will change the relay next ....
skating away on the thin ice of a new day
